Our campuses are in some of the country’s top locations, including two World Heritage Sites. In fact, we’re the UK’s only university to be set in a national park. Alongside Carlisle and the internationally renowned Lake District, historic Lancaster and buzzing London all bring unique and fantastic opportunities for you to get involved, feel and live the place and be part of a really great atmosphere.
Culture
What makes our Service different from many organisations is the desire of all parts of the university to work with us and develop shared solutions: we really are a valued partner at all levels of the organisation. We believe the best way to stop silos forming and misunderstandings happening is by picking up the phone or having a meeting, rather than hiding from issues. The university is sufficiently small that you can rapidly get to know people from all areas and although we strongly promote good practice project and service management, the informal conversation can be the best way of gaining agreement!
