From examples of fine art to computer games, graphic design and photography, final preparations are underway to stage what’s hoped will be the most inspiring summer show yet at the University of Cumbria’s Institute of the Arts.
For final year art design and media students the event is the chance to showcase what hours of effort have achieved and show off work in public.
“We are really excited by the standard of work being presented at this year’s degree show,” Principal lecturer and exhibition organiser Steve Ogden says. ”The exhibition celebrates the continuing success of the arts provision within the university and the outstanding work it generates, which is a credit to both students and the staff.”
Degree-level work from more than 150 students, studying on 11 different courses, will be on display at the university’s Brampton Road campus and will be open to the public for a week starting at 10.00am on Saturday 3 June 2017.
