
University ranked 35th in student opinion survey
In data released today, the University of Cumbria has been ranked 35th out of 126 higher education institutions in a student-informed survey – a massive rise of 60 places.

Rural areas need a joined up approach to avoid the worst of Brexit
Rural areas would benefit from greater devolved decision making and a single, co-ordinated voice to avoid long-term issues being made worse by Brexit. Academics at the University of Cumbria, Newcastle University and Northumbria University looked at the implications of Brexit on rural Northumberland and surrounding areas.

University of Cumbria and Lancaster University sign partnership to develop HE in Barrow
The University of Cumbria is developing a new university presence in Barrow and has signed a partnership agreement with Lancaster University to support this transformational project.
