Kate McLaughlin-Flynn

Biography

Kate McLaughlin-Flynn is the university's Director of Finance and Resources. She has responsibility for the university’s strategic planning, financial strategy, performance management framework, overseeing risk management, and financial advice and payments systems for faculties and services.

Her previous role was as Assistant Director – Finance at Cumbria County Council and prior to this she was Chief Financial Services Officer at London Borough of Redbridge. Kate is a CIPFA qualified accountant, with extensive public sector experience of financial management and has a comprehensive track record of achievement in both financial services and corporate and strategic work. This includes pension fund management and significant estate developments including regeneration projects, new schools, leisure facilities, and PFI/PPP projects.
