
Subject Taster Days
Specifically designed for post-16 students, our Subject Taster Days are developed and delivered in collaboration with our experienced academic staff.
These events offer an opportunity to:
- Gain an insight into courses we offer at the University of Cumbria and the careers they may lead to
- Explore the University of Cumbria’s specialist facilities and teaching spaces
- Meet and interact with academics and Student Ambassadors, giving learners a chance to gain valuable advice and perspectives
- Take part in an experience that can enhance applications to Higher Education

- Forestry Discovery Day
- Law Mock Trial
- Breaking the Lines (Professional Policing, Criminology and Forensic Investigation, Security Intelligence and Investigative Practice, Social Work, Psychology and Psychology with Counselling and Psychotherapy)
- Health Taster Day (Midwifery, Nursing, Paramedic Science, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Diagnostic Radiography and Biomedical Science)
