Biography

Dr Paula Moses is a teacher educator and researcher with a background in primary teaching, senior leadership, and community education. She began her career in primary schools and later took part in the Future Leaders Headteacher programme, which strengthened her interest in curriculum, inclusion, and supporting teachers’ professional growth.

Alongside her school-based work, Paula has taught with The Brilliant Club, mentored MA Education students, and delivered training in Philosophy for Children (P4C) and metacognitive approaches. She is director of Permanent Education CIC and works with schools and community organisations on projects related to sustainability education, creativity, and enquiry-led learning. 

At the University of Cumbria, Paula is a Lecturer in Education on the Primary PGCE and Undergraduate degree. Her role includes leading seminars, supporting trainees’ academic and professional development, and working with school partners. She draws on her experience as a teacher, leader, and researcher to help trainees build thoughtful, inclusive, and evidence-informed approaches to classroom practice.
