Biography

Tristan is a photographer and lecturer with an academic background in Ecology and Biological Photography. His commercial practice of 17 years has spanned from industrial commisions through to architecture and photography of the built environment. Recently his commercial practice is focussed on advertising commisions and the development of new techniques of experiential content creation and creative direction.

His research based practice explores the physicality of landscapes, the legacy left, both as physical and cultural scars, that shape our behaviours, national identity and politics.

Tristan uses social documentary and public participation in combination with his own meditations on current events to create work about our present time.
