Offer Holder Days
Meet Your Tutor
Attending an Offer Holder Day gives you the chance to meet your course academics. Building these connections early will make settling into your studies much smoother.
Experience Your Course on Campus
Get to know your course like never before
Your Offer Holder Day is specially designed for you. You'll get a feel for what studying your course will be like, with activities that could range from a sample lecture to a tour of your course facilities or even a workshop. You will also learn more about the modules on offer and get to know your future lecturers.
And don’t worry, we’re not assessing you in any way – it’s all about helping you get ready for university. It's also a fantastic opportunity to meet other people who may end up being your future course mates.
Are Offer Holder Days the same as Open Days?
No. Although they do have some similarities, Offer Holder Days are designed specifically for offer holders, providing a real insight into what it’s like to study your chosen course at the University of Cumbria. If you receive multiple university offers, Offer Holder Days can be invaluable for helping you decide which ones to accept. Open Days, on the other hand, are not as tailored to your course; they allow you to get more of an overall feel for Cumbria and the student experience we offer.
If you’re holding an offer of a place at the University of Cumbria for September 2026, book onto your bespoke Offer Holder Day today – it's not to be missed!

Going to the Offer Holder Day that the University of Cumbria offers was the best decision I made when choosing which uni I went to. This day made me more set on coming to this university to study this course, as I got to see what the course offered in so much more detail and talk to the lecturers and ask them questions about what will happen in the first year of the course.

Going on the Offer Holder Day confirmed that this was the right university for me. My lecturers explained the modules on my course and I couldn't be more excited to start my studies. It also provided a chance to meet my tutors before starting, which helped in September.

Having already been to a few open days, I was reasonably sure I knew what to expect when going to the offer holder day. But even then, I was blown away at the range of activities on offer. Personally, my favourite part of the Offer Holder Day was meeting people who would be on my course. One of the activities was manoeuvring a canoe on a trolley up a steep incline, and this allowed me and the people on my course to get to know each other and make an early start on our teamwork skills.
Harry Anderson
BSc (Hons) Outdoor Adventure and Environmental Studies

The atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff and campus really sealed the deal. I am overall a very quiet and anxious person, so it was scary for me. But meeting the lecturers and really getting the chance to learn about my course made me feel safe and comfortable. I’m so thankful that I attended the offer holder day because it really reassured me that I was going to be okay.

My experience at the Offer Holder Day was incredibly valuable. The tours, led by both course academics and current students, provided a clear picture of what studying at Cumbria would be like. The practical workshops and insightful discussions helped me understand the structure of my course, the teaching approach, and the opportunities available to me. Without a doubt, this experience played a huge role in solidifying my decision to choose the University of Cumbria.
