Biography
About Me
I began my career on the frontline as a paramedic in Dorset, gaining years of clinical experience before transitioning into education. After serving as an Education Lead and a Clinical Lecturer, I joined the team here at the University as a Senior Lecturer. My focus is on bringing that real-world perspective into the classroom to help prepare you for the complexities of modern practice.
Innovation in Practice
I believe that paramedic education should be as engaging and dynamic as the role itself. My academic interests centre on leadership, the impact of human factors on clinical outcomes, and innovative teaching methods. I am particularly passionate about using educational escape rooms to create immersive learning experiences that challenge your critical thinking and teamwork in a unique way.
Personal Interests
I am a big advocate for keeping active and finding balance outside of work. I particularly enjoy coastal walks with my mountain dog, martial arts, and attempting to play the guitar (with varying degrees of success).
