Started at UOC in 2007 after 20 years of teaching chemistry and science in secondary school. Other school roles included subject leadership, mentor for ITE students and teacher governor. My role at the university is programme leader for the secondary School Direct PGCE and the link tutor to the Great Sankey School Direct Alliance. I also deliver sessions on chemistry and science teaching to science PGCE students and generic educational sessions to Lancaster based PGCE students. Curently also doing some A level chemistry teaching in a local school and NQT support in local schools.
