Biography

Peter is an experienced academic and has been a Professor for over 30 years. He has written 300+ papers and books (68 journal papers, 6 books, 39 book chapters and 189 conference papers). Peter is also an experienced supervisor having successfully supervised 60+ PhD and professional doctorate students and examined a further 50+ PhD students all over the world. He is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (PFHEA).

Peter is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, the Royal Society of Arts, the British Computer Society, the Institute of Mathematics and Its Applications and the Institute of Engineering and Technology. He is also a Chartered Manager, Chartered Engineer, Chartered IT Professional, Chartered Scientist, Chartered Mathematician and a Chartered Statistician. He regularly assesses candidates for Chartered Engineer status.

Peter supports the Institute in research and is pleased to work with colleagues on joint publications and PhD student supervision. Peter works from home and contributes to the University in an online and virtual capacity.
