Biography

I have been with the University since July 2016, prior to this I was a serving police officer and retired as a Police Sergeant after 25 years service. I served in differing roles, Responce Officer, Detective, Police Trainer, Shift Sergeant, Custody Sergeant and Performance & Development Sergeant being reponsible for all student officer development and their training. Now with the University, I lecture on a variety of different modules and draw from the experiences I have encountered and enjoy being involved in the development of students.

I am originally from Leeds, but have lived and worked in the Lake District for the last 26 years. I have a keen interest in golf and football.

Qualifications and memberships

I have completed the Post Graduate Certificate and am currently working towards a Masters in Business Administration.

Academic and research interests

My main areas of interest are around the professionalisation of the Police Service, Police Leadership and Management, continued Professionalism of Police Officers and University Students.
