Biography

I am the Programme Lead for the MSc (Pre-registration) Occupational Therapy programme, I lead modules on Occupational therapy theory and practice.  My extensive clinical experience is in neuro occupational therapy, working with people with brain injury, stroke, long term neurological conditions and complex disability.  I joined the University in 2006 after working in the NHS and third sector for 16 years as an Occupational therapist and Neuro-rehabiliation co-ordinator, leading the multi-disciplinary team.

I am keen to maximise student experience, learning and engagement particularly within the widening participation agenda.  As well, my academic and professional interest continues in neuro occupational therapy with an increasing focus on the use of Arts in health to support recovery, health and wellbeing.

I am currently studying for my PhD in Educational Research at Lancaster University
