Welcome to your course
Welcome to your course and to the University of Cumbria.
More specifically, may I wish you a warm welcome from the whole Radiography Team who are really looking forward to meeting you in just a few weeks’ time. You are about to become a ‘fresher’ and life might just change a little (or a lot!) for you over the coming weeks and months. However, you can be assured of one thing: the teams here, both in the clinical and academic sites are highly professional, very experienced in dealing with most situations which might arise and incredibly supportive too.
The Welcome Week timetable for student radiographers is a mixture of Faculty/University information-giving sessions, subject specific radiography sessions to familiarise you with the course structure along with the clinical skills facilities and some free time for yourself so that you can take part in any optional sessions or just hang out and perhaps get to know each other better. We are very much of the belief that you are here to have fun as well as to work hard.
