Biography

I started my career in the ambulance service in 2003 as an Ambulance Technician, qualifying as a Paramedic in 2012.

I worked frontline within South Central Ambulance Service as both a Paramedic and Operational Team Leader until 2018, at which time I moved into the Training and Education directorate.

In 2020 I was offered a secondment opportunity as a Clinical Lecturer in Paramedic Practice with the University of Cumbria, teaching on the Paramedic Apprenticeship Programme, joining the University on a full-time basis in March 2021 as a Senior Lecturer supporting learners from the SWAST provision of the programme.

I recently completed a PGCert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education which has inspired me to continue my development in teaching and education by commencing a Masters in Educational Professional Practice in October 2022.
