Biography

I commenced my nurse training in 1992 at The United Midlands Nursing and Midwifery College. My first staff nurse position was an adult nurse was in A&E in Birmingham then I worked on a general surgical ward.

The majority of my career has been working in the community. I secured a community staff nurse role and then studied for a degree in District Nursing  and became a team leader. I have worked in numerous roles within the community including-  Rapid Response providing hospital at home for patients. I worked within a health promotion setting and within hospital liaison related to complex hospital discharges.

I have worked as a Senior Lecturer since 2012 and my interests are public health, community nursing, pre-registation nursing and District Nursing. I have taught pre and post registration nuring and nursing apprentices.
