Emma Ramsaran

Biography

I am an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with clinical experience in anaesthetics. My practice includes managing complex and difficult airways, paediatrics and a specialist interest in maternity services and maternal safety. I am passionate about improving outcomes for women and families through safe, evidence-based care.

Alongside my clinical background, I have experience in education and simulation-based teaching. I am an Immediate Life Support (ILS) instructor, have taught Advanced Life Support (ALS) skills, and am an Acute Illness Management instructor. 

My background in anaesthetics means my teaching focuses on developing clinical competence, confidence in leadership, and human factors awareness in high-risk, time-critical situations.
