Biography

I qualified from the University of Cumbria as a Diagnostic Radiographer in 2012. My first post upon qualifying was at Chorley and South Ribble District General Hospital. I remained here for 10 years.

During my clinical practice, I gained experience in many aspects of radiography, including C.T. I eventually chose to specialise in breast imaging. I completed my postgraduate studies in mammography at the University of Salford, qualifying in 2016. I then worked as a Specialist Radiographer until 2022.

I have a keen interest in research, and continuing professional development. I was lucky enough to be a member of the Allied Health Professionals research team at the trust where I was previously based.

During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, I joined the covid research group for my trust, and collected data for the RECOVERY trial. This trial was later responsible for proving the drug dexamethasone was successful in reducing symptoms and mortality rates in covid positive patients.

I joined the Medical Sciences team in September 2022.

My main interests continue to be professional development, patient care and communication, mammography and promotion of the profession.
