Biography
Madeline Mackay is a lecturer and researcher within the BA Fine Art programme at University of Cumbria. Her research relates to the post-medicalized body and the psychology of materiality, which is investigated through a visual practice largely carried out via print media, drawing and new media.
Madeline is a Scottish visual artist based in Glasgow and is co Vice-President of the Society of Scottish Artists (SSA). She has exhibited in juried, group and solo exhibitions in the UK, Canada, the US, Spain and Croatia. Madeline has presented and exhibited at conferences including the Impact International Print Conference and the Rocky Mountain Print Symposium and her work is held in collections including the Royal Scottish Academy, Northlands Creative, SGCI Archives, University of British Columbia and University of Alberta Art Collections.
