I gained my degree in human psychology at Loughborough University and a degree in Occupational Therapy at Christ Church College Canterbury. I then worked as an Occupational Therapist in Cumbria, mainly in Mental Health and Management.

A move to lecturing happened in 2005, initially with St Martin's College and then University of Cumbria.

I studied for an MA in Academic Practice whilst working at University of Cumbria, gaining this in 2014.

I have an interest in Mental Health - Psycholgical therapies including Solution Focussed Brief Therapy, management, horticulture and life satisfaction.
