Biography
I am a part time Lecturer in counselling and psychotherapy, joining the team in 2023 from the University of Warwick where I was a Senior Fellow and Assistant Professor for several years.
I have an extensive background in curriculum development and course validation with 22 years experience of teaching and research supervision in higher education, including course leadership of a range of courses - MSc, MA degree level, within both BACP and UKCP accredited routes. Throughout this period, in addition to degree-based teaching and learning, I have offered bespoke continuing professional development training courses based on my portfolio of interests e.g., course leadership for the IAPT PCE-CfD.
My therapeutic practice over the past three decades has been based in a variety of contexts. I am currently in private practice based in north Cumbria having a wide range of therapeutic expertise with adults as well as being an experienced clinical supervisor.
