Biography

I joined the law team at University of Cumbria as a permanent member of the law staff team in October 2024, having read law there as an undergraduate student.

I am currently the Module Leader for the Contract law and Persuasive Presentation Skills modules and one of the law lecturers for Business and Employment law. In a pastoral role I am a final year dissertation supervisor and personal tutor.

After completing my undergraduate law degree, I continued to undertake and qualify with the Masters of Laws from Ulster University (Northern Ireland), where I also teach undergraduate and post-graduate students in areas of Criminology and Access to Justice.

My areas of expertise are focused in employment law, human rights, tort, negligence, clinical legal practice, contract and social security law and policy.

I completed my Post-Graduate Certificate in Higher Educational Practice in 2024. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Member of the Institute of Leadership and Management.

Outside of my role as an educator, I take on some work as a private client advisor, providing administration, advocacy and representation for appeals and tribunals.
