The LED Research Centre supports school improvement and professional learning for teachers by providing ‘professional inquiry projects’ in collaboration with school alliances, clusters and individual schools. Offering excellent return on investment LED professional inquiry projects are:

  • Negotiated to meet your needs with a focus on particular issues and within specific subjects
  • Designed to meet evidence-based principles on teachers’ effective professional development
  • Provided over a one or two-year period to enable classroom experimentation and evaluation
  • Constructed flexibly in 6 units – a twilight session is one unit, a half day is two units
  • Scheduled to follow ten steps of professional inquiry
  • Designed for groups of 15 to 20 teachers (LED can help schools to form a group)
  • A knowledge exchange process between expert teachers and university based consultants
