PGCE Secondary Lancaster Based Cohort and Delivery Partner Cohort

Your First Day (2nd September 2024)

We are thrilled to welcome to the Secondary PGCE course!
The first three days of the course are an induction to familiarise you with many aspects of our PGCE Secondary Programme. September 2nd and 3rd are in person on our Lancaster Campus, at 09.30 – 15.45 on day 1 and 09.30-15.15 on day2. You will be sent information on where to go in mid-August. September 4th will be an online induction, the details of which will be shared during your first two induction days.

If you have pre-registered online, you will get access to your student dashboard through our website. On there you will be able to access our virtual learning environment called Blackboard. On Blackboard you will be able to access a large amount of information telling you all about the course.

If you are a PGCE Campus based student, you may also be given access to your timetable. For now, please do not use this timetable as there are some amendments that need to be made over the summer. You will receive further information about this in mid-August. However, you should be prepared to come to the Lancaster campus for a 09:30 start on weekdays in early September.
If you are a PGCE School Based student, you will be given your timetable by your School Based Alliance.
