Cumbria Card
Your Cumbria Card is your key to accessing the IT facilities of our campuses, as well as paying for your food at our catering facilities.
What is a Cumbria Card?
The Cumbria Card is a multi-functional card which uses smart card technology to access students' accounts. It is your ID card, library card, printing and copying card and it can be used for cashless and discount purchasing in our catering outlets.
There is also a Way2Pay Mobile App - you can top up, and see your recent purchases anywhere, anytime.
Printing
You can top up your print credit through the Student Hub. From the Student dashboard click the "Practical Help..." tile and then the "Print Top Up" tile. Login to the print system with your student number and university password.
For any queries about topping up your card for print please contact: print.unit@cumbria.ac.uk
Catering
Showing your student card at one of our catering outlets will get you access to the student price (VAT free). You can then pay by cash/card or credit. You, or a family member can add credit to your Cumbria Card to use at our catering outlets. Within a couple of days of receiving your Cumbria card, you should receive an email inviting you to access Way2Pay(either via App or website).
The App/Website allows you to:
- Add funds
- Create a guest account (Settings menu) to allow a family member to add funds
- See recent transactions

Make your money last longer, without making a meal of it
Your Cumbria Card can give you VAT free purchasing on food at our on-site outlets. You can also pre-pay for catering so you can be sure that you can eat all year long, even if money gets tight towards the end.
The Cumbria Card uses smartcard technology to act as a key to access your electronic account.
