Biography

Emma is a new lecturer at Cumbria University and will be teaching across the BSc and MSc (pre-reg) occupational therapy courses.  She joined the team in June 2022, with previous experience working across other universities as a lecturer and as an assistant lecturer in Scotland.  Emma has a diverse range of experience specialising in working with children, young people and their families within community settings, schools, nurseries and special needs schools.  Emma is passionate about sharing knowledge, experience and expertise of child health occupational therapy practice within her teaching role and research interests.   

Emma was appointed as vice chair RCOT CYPF specialist section in October 2021 and is influential in supporting change.  She is also chair of the CYPF Scotland regional group and a contributor to the child health research group Mind the Gap.

Derby University - MSc Advanced Occupational Therapy (ongoing)

Leeds Metropolitan University  - Professional Diploma Stroke Care
