Biography

Prior to working at the University of Cumbria I completed the Scientist Training Programme and gained HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist. Folllowing this I worked at the Arden Cancer Centre in Coventry as a Radiotherapy physicist and was responsible for projects such as commissioning a new linear accelerator, implementing  CBCT based dose calculation and designing a system to automate simple monitor unit calculations.

My teaching focus is on fundamental Physics and applied Medical Physics. I deliver content on the Diagnostic Radiography BSc, Healthcare Science BSc and graduate diploma. I am module lead for the first year Healthcare Science module "Fundamentals of Medical Physics Technology" (HMSP4007) and the second year follow-on module "Further Medical Physics Technology" (HMSP5007).
