Top up your degree and gain IBMS Accreditation
If you have studied a non-accredited Biomedical Sciences degree or have a job as a trainee biomedical scientist, you may currently be ineligible for IBMS accreditation due to missing one or several clinical areas that were not included on your degree.
Most students who have studied a non-accredited course typically have 1-3 areas of deficit.
The University of Cumbria offers a way to top up your degree with your missing clinical modules, by taking our IBMS accredited modules as standalone courses. You may study your modules over a year or two years. Courses run either in the September or January semester.
