Fascinated about how the body and mind respond to exercise, what happens when we don't exercise or what makes an elite athlete? Well, studying the science behind sports and exercise is for you.

Our course is designed for you to gain high-quality, profession-specific training – including strength and condition for elite sport, notational analysis.

Our foundation course will enable you to acquire the core skills needed to progress onto the full degree programme.

Sport and exercise scientists are in increasing demand, due to Government focus on public health and fitness and the growth of professional athletes determined to maximise their potential.

Many of our students have gone on to work with elite athletes in sport science support – including in the Premier League - as well as helping to improve the health of the community.

And, since our course is intended to make you a top all-round sports scientist, you too can join them.

Graduate destinations

You can use the skills you learn to become a strength and conditioning coach, with a number of our graduates going on to work with elite football and rugby clubs. You'll be well suited to any job that involves physical activity, including personal training, corporate fitness and exercise referral. Many of our students benefit from full or part-time employment offers after completing their placement.

You may also wish to use your qualification to progress to postgraduate study, or take up roles in primary and secondary teaching, physiotherapy or dietetics.
