Cumbria International UG Scholarship

The Cumbria International UG Scholarship offers up to £4,500 towards tuition fees (£1,500 per year of study for a 3-year degree) for eligible full-time taught undergraduate programmes at the University of Cumbria for the 2026/27 academic year. Scholarships are limited to specific programmes taught at Ambleside, Carlisle and Lancaster campuses.  

Applicants must hold an offer for September 2026 or January 2027 entry, be self-funding with overseas fee status. All conditions must be met and deposit paid by 19 August 2026 (or 16 December for January 2027 start).  

There is no need to apply for this award, it is automatically applied to reduce your tuition fee. Scholarships cannot be combined with other awards.

Cumbria Global Excellence UG Merit Scholarship

The Cumbria Global Excellence UG Merit Scholarship offers up to £7,500 towards tuition fees (£2,500 per year of study for a 3-year degree) for eligible full-time taught bachelor’s programmes at the University of Cumbria for the 2026/27 academic year. Scholarships are limited in number (up to 10 awards) and apply only to specific programmes taught at Ambleside, Carlisle (Brampton Road and Fusehill Street), and Lancaster campuses.  

 Applicants must hold an offer for September 2026 entry, be self-funding with overseas fee status.

• Decisions announced: by 31 July 2026 
• Conditions met and deposit paid: by 12 August 2026.  

Selection is competitive and based on academic performance, English proficiency, and a unique personal statement. Scholarships cannot be combined with other awards.

The Cumbria Global Business Excellence MBA Scholarship offers £2,500 towards tuition fees for eligible full-time taught MBA programmes at the University of Cumbria for the 2026/27 academic year. Scholarships are limited to specific programmes taught at Ambleside and Lancaster campuses.  

Applicants must hold an offer for September 2026 entry, be self-funding with overseas fee status. All conditions must be met and deposit paid by 19 August 2026 (or 16 December for January 2027 start).

Cumbria Health and Wellbeing Scholarship

The Cumbria Health and Wellbeing Scholarship offers up to £12,000 towards tuition fees (depending on the length of programme) for eligible UG and PGT full-time nursing and MPH Public Health programmes at the University of Cumbria for the 2026/27 academic year. Scholarships are limited to specific programmes taught at Carlisle and Lancaster campuses.  

Applicants must hold an offer for 2026/27 entry, be self-funding with overseas fee status.  

All conditions must be met and deposit paid by 19 August 2026 for programmes starting in September 2026 (5 March 2027 for Public Health). 

There is no need to apply for this award, it is automatically applied to reduce your tuition fee. Scholarships cannot be combined with other awards.

Our European Excellence Scholarship offers financial support to our European students wishing to study with us full-time in the academic year 2025/26 and 2026/27. If you normally reside in the EU or the EEA and are starting your undergraduate or postgraduate taught course in September 2026 and January 2027, you could be eligible for this reduction in your tuition fees.

The value of the scholarship brings your tuition fees in line with that of UK students and will be automatically applied for all eligible EU students.

The Chevening Scholarships are international scholarships funded by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office that enable foreign students with leadership qualities to study at universities in the UK. 

These scholarships are fully funded and allow outstanding and emerging leaders to undertake ANY 1 year Masters course at ANY UK university. 

Who can apply?

To be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship you must:

• be a citizen of a designated Chevening country or territory.
• already have an undergraduate degree equivalent to a first or upper second class honours degree in the UK.
• have at least two years of work experience and
• return to your country of citizenship for at least two years after the completion of your Master's degree.

Application Process and Guidance

To meet the Chevening eligibility criteria you must apply to three different (eligible) Master's courses and have received an Unconditional Offer before 11th July 2024.

The courses must:

• Be full-time.
• Start in the autumn term (i.e. September or October).
• Be taught Master's (non-research based).
• Lead to a Master's degree.
• Be a 1-year course.

The CTBI Hardship Fund  was set up in 1990 by the former Churches Commission for International Students, who are facing unexpected financial problems during the final stages of their course. Grants are typically up to £1,000 and are administered based on the basis of agreed criteria.

Decisions on grants are made three times a year.

• If you are finishing in April-June, you need to apply by mid-December
• If you are finishing in August-November, you need to apply by mid-April
• If you are finishing in December-March, you need to apply by October

The Indonesia-UK DIKTI Scholarship Programme is open for lecturers at Indonesian universities and administrative staff at DIKTI and Indonesian state universities, to undertake postgraduate study at many leading universities in the United Kingdom. The programme will fund up to 750 academics to come and study in the UK over the next five years. All academic subjects are eligible for full funding under the DIKTI programme.

The Goa Education Trust (GET) scholarship is offered to selected Indian students annually for pursuing a Master's in the UK. Initially conceptualised for Goans, the scholarship has now been opened up to all Indian students applying for any Master's programme in any UK university.

The Snowdon Master’s Scholarship has been designed to identify and accelerate talented disabled students through higher education, creating the influencers of the future. The scholarship includes fee funding up to £15,000 p.a. for a one or two-year UK Master's course and most scholarships include a further allowance towards studying costs.

The scholarship is available to UK and international students.
