Project Academy 5 Year Anniversary

This year our Project Academy partnership with Sellafield Ltd celebrates its fifth anniversary. In April 2016 we collaborated to bring together industry, academia and professional bodies. The Project Academy for Sellafield was created to improve delivery performance and prepare teams to deal with new projects and challenges. The focus was also on building longer-term supply chain relationships, to ensure Sellafield and their suppliers could be developed sustainably.

Our offering ranges from one-day introductory courses to those at Doctorate level – whether someone is starting a career in projects or more experienced and looking to upskill, there is something for everyone.

Now in its fifth year, the Project Academy is leading the way for West Cumbria to become a centre of excellence for project management education. More recently, training and education expanded into Sellafield’s supply chain, external employers and the local community – last year resulting in the launch of the wider University of Cumbria Project Academy.

Over the last twelve months, the majority of courses have are now delivered online through virtual classrooms. Courses are highly interactive; participants take part in group activities and have opportunities to discuss and share experiences.
