Lecturer in Project Management (3 Posts, Grade 7 Full time)

We are seeking innovative, creative, high quality researchers, scholars or experienced practitioners to foster a culture of exploration, discovery and intellectual challenge that generates international recognition, respect and engagement. If you are an existing academic, experienced lecturer, trainer, or practitioner/manager who has a background of working, leading, training or educating in industry and the workplace, and are ready to embrace a new challenge, or you have senior experience working in industry and are looking to share your knowledge and expertise, we would like to hear from you.

Working as part of a team you will participate in developing and delivering high quality academic provision through implementation of teaching and learning, widening participation and other strategies in order to contribute to the provision of high quality learning environments and the best possible student experience.  You will also engage in scholarly activity and knowledge transfer activities.

Starting Salary: £33,797 with incremental progression up to £38,017

Degree Apprenticeship Personal Tutor/Tripartite Reviewer (2 Posts, Grade 6 Full Time)

We are seeking innovative, creative, high quality individuals to foster a culture of progression with our work based learning apprenticeships that generates recognition, respect and engagement from our employer partners.

Working as part of a team delivering high quality degree apprenticeship provision on the Integrated Project Manager Degree Apprenticeship, the post holders will provide support, advice and guidance to degree apprentices, occasionally visit degree apprentices in the workplace, conduct tripartite reviews with the employee and their employer, act as personal tutor for the apprenticeship learners and assist apprentices with their development.

Starting Salary: £26,715 with incremental progression up to £32,816

Part Time Teaching Associates:

We are seeking experienced project managers or academics with project management related experience to join a pool of part time Teaching Associate staff who can contribute to teaching and assessment on a regular and an ad-hoc basis.  From a practical perspective our modules generally span a period of 6-8 weeks with delivery being a single day each week (typically 9am to 4pm with delivery being online).  In addition to the one day of delivery each week for a module the Teaching Associate role will also require responding to student queries and providing feedback between teaching sessions as well as assessing work submitted.  Full guidance on delivery using online tools will be provided for those new to academic practice and you will be supported whilst undertaking assessments.  If you feel you have something to offer our project management learners then please get in touch and then apply to become a Teaching Associate for the University at https://jobs.cumbria.ac.uk/vacancy.aspx?ref=XX005619.

Associate Tutors (CPD):

We are looking to strengthen our team of trainers and tutors supporting and delivering our rapidly growing CPD and professional courses in project management.

Our programme of short courses is growing, with increases in the portfolio of courses, the frequency of delivery, and geographical coverage. We want to expand our pool of tutors to support that growth. Our current focus is on delivering this portfolio, but there may also be opportunities to develop new courses to add to our portfolio.

Whether you currently work as a trainer and are ready to embrace a new challenge, or you have senior experience working in industry and are looking to share your knowledge and expertise, we are keen to hear from you.
