Certificate - Contemporary and Sustainable Occupational Therapy in Practice
To develop knowledge and skills to promote sustainability of the occupational therapy profession and to respond to cultural, societal and global changes which influence health and wellbeing. The focus of this module will be to encourage you to apply and demonstrate digital, contemporary and professional leadership skills ready for practice.
- Theories of organisational behaviour; leadership; emerging and potential areas of occupational therapy practice
- Understand and apply legislation, policies and guidance relevant to occupational therapy and our scope of practice; digital transformation and digital skills
- Recognise the impact of culture, equality and diversity on practice and practise in a non discriminatory and inclusive manner
- Entrepreneurship and marketing skills
- Political influences on practice; political competence; working appropriately with others; action planning; professional identity; continuing professional development; supervision; sustainability; resilience; employability skills; representing self as a professional
- Interprofessional learning event.
Discussion with small group of peers and tutor and outline plan for summative service /business proposal. Oral assessment/presentation.
