University Advanced Diploma - Practice Development: Health and Wellbeing Coaching
Our long-established Practice Development Framework comprises tailor-made continuing professional development (CPD) for all healthcare professionals as well as unregistered staff working in the health, wellbeing and social care sector. This programme has been specifically designed in conjunction with employers in the public health, and health and care sector, to meet the needs of those engaged in health and wellbeing coaching within clinical and non-clinical settings.
The programme is aimed at those that are working or want to work in a healthcare coaching environment. This programme is being successfully delivered to a number of local authority public health bodies within the UK.

Course Overview
This UADip Health and Wellbeing Coaching has been created to align with workforce development in the Public Health and NHS settings. All three modules of this programme are contemporary, in that they meet the needs of the stakeholders and will continue to do so in the future.To help you develop skills as a Health and Wellbeing Coach in order to support people to improve their lifestyle, health and wellbeing and more specifically to equip health and wellbeing coaches. Some examples of the types of activities are supporting Health coaching techniques around transformative coaching practices, and the use of modified Action Learning Sets in a group coaching scenario.
This is a taught and interactive programme, led by qualified and experienced staff, which will enable you to develop your practical skills, receive feedback and identify areas for further development and improvement.
During your time studying with the University you will either be in employment, or looking to seek employment in the health and wellbeing coaching sector.
On this course you will...
- Apply health promotion models to practice.
- Use behaviour change models in practice to support the needs of individuals.
- Use motivational interviewing techniques to improve wellbeing for individuals with mental health issues.
- Reinforce your personal resilience skills.
