As the population ages and healthcare needs become increasingly complex, the demand for palliative and end-of-life care rises. This module equips healthcare professionals across various settings with the essential skills and knowledge needed to meet this growing demand with empathy and professionalism.
Whether working in a traditional palliative care setting, an acute care environment, mental health services, paramedic practice, a nursing home, or primary care, learning on this course will enhance your ability to address the unique challenges and complexities associated with this critical area of healthcare.
This comprehensive module is designed to equip students with a deep understanding of end-of-life care. To enrol in this module, you must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a recognised qualification as an assistant practitioner, nurse associate, registered nurse, or allied health professional.
- Demonstrate the ability to successfully complete coursework at the specified academic level. If you have concerns about your academic readiness, please contact the programme lead. Support resources are available to assist you.
- Be prepared to complete the required assessments.
Please note: If you have already completed the equivalent module at Level 6 (HCPD6045), you are not eligible to enrol in the Level 7 version.

Tuition fees are set annually and are subject to review each year. The University may therefore raise tuition fees in the second or subsequent years of a course, in line with inflation and/or the maximum permitted by law or government policy.
