Focusing on innovative digital technology in health and social care, understanding barriers and enablers, leading to the development of tools and processes to improve technology adoption. We are always interested to meet new collaborators, discuss new projects or advise you on studying with us.

Consultancy and Contract Research

Our researchers are interested in understanding barriers to and enablers of adoption of digital technology in health and social care, facilitating user engagement in service design and understanding how to monitor and measure success for appropriate decision-making. We are able to respond in a timely way and carry out assignments to meet your needs.

We have a track record of working with NHS Trusts, companies and others. In particular, we offer services to support the business case development and adoption processes for telehealth, telemedicine and e-health services. Ours is a three step process, which can be iterated if necessary, starting with stakeholder engagement to identify success factors, decision criteria, barriers, challenges and issues. This is followed by an evaluative process; working with stakeholders. The final stage is stakeholder re-engagement for analysis and decision making.

We try to publish journal and conference articles where possible, but would always do this with your agreement.

Applied research collaboration

We frequently work with partners to bid for external grant funding and participate in applied research projects. Our interests are varied and we can draw on an extended network of colleagues with diverse skills in nursing, allied health professions, psychology, sociology, product design and management.

Research studentships

If you would like to study with us for a PhD (either full or part time), please get in touch. Once you have an idea of what you might be interested in, we can work with you to develop a research proposal in application to the University.
