As a branch of UoC Active, Ambleside Active gives students on Ambleside campus the opportunity to participate in free health and fitness facilities, activities and events.

Facilities Available
Ambleside campus students have free access to a recently opened functional training facility. These facilities were created for the students, based on feedback from the students. The facility hosts a variety of resistance and cardio vascular stations such as:
- Watt Bike
- Treadmill
- Rowing Machine
- Duel cable machine and pull up bar
- TRX Suspension Training
- Power cage and weight plates
- Variety of weighted dumbbells and kettlebells
- Mats, foam rollers and other functional equipment
Due to covid-19, classes aren’t currently on.
However, a weekly Pilates class ran by our Instructor at Ambleside, Savannah, will resume again once classes are allowed to start.

Support and guidance
Savannah is a qualified Personal Trainer, Strength and Conditioning Coach and Pilates Instructor. She plays football at a semi-professional level and has also competed in Powerlifting. She looks to support you whilst you’re in the gym and answer any questions you may have related to improving your health and fitness.
