We understand the importance of supporting researchers by developing their research skills. That’s why we ensure the right level of support is always available to create effective research.
At the University, we are keen to help students develop information seeking and information management skills.
Information seeking skills are about being confident in searching for, identifying, collating and evaluating information from a wide variety of sources using different techniques, systems and resources.
Information management skills are about having a good understanding of the importance of research impact and dissemination, as well as being familiar with the legal, ethical and security issues surrounding scholarly outputs, open access and research data management.

- Understanding open access publishing and depositing scholarly outputs in Insight
The library also manages and provides access to a variety of resources and services that are of specific interest to researchers.
