Module - Professional Values and Ethics
The main aim of this module is to engage students in a series of critical debates; providing students with a knowledge and understanding of a number of ethical and practice issues that they may face within their workplace. The module aims to encourage the students to identify the conflicts and complexities that may be encountered in practice and to identify strategies to deal with such experiences.
- Ethical and practical issues in practice (across a range of settings)
- Issues pertaining to equality and diversity in a professional context
- Power relations, liability, confidentiality and public protection, coercion and consent.
- Bullying and harassment
- Issues relating to competent practice e.g. integrity, respect and responsibility.
