Course Overview
This is a non NMC accredited course that provides a breadth and depth of theoretical knowledge necessary for effective occupational health practice. You do not have to be working in occupational health to take this programme.
This is one of the few degree courses in the UK that focuses solely on occupational health practice in a working environment. We have designed it to be relevant to anyone interested in the subject, regardless of your background. You'll learn up to date professional developments within the practice, and create a foundation of knowledge for further study and career progression.
On this course you will...
- Understand the evidence, theories and policy drivers that underpin decision making and judgement in holistic occupational health practice
- Understand the professional, ethical and legal perspectives of occupational health practice, including diversity and cultural issues in the community and workplace.
- Understand the need for and constraints of developing reflective practice, managing change and of multi-professional working including concepts and frameworks for transformative reflection, collaborative and partnership working within occupational health practice.
