The aim of this module is to enable you to understand the concepts of contemporary leadership, transformative learning and reflection as it relates to your personal leadership style, including links to developing and understanding professional identity. This programme has been specifically developed to meet the continuing professional development needs of individuals who are leading, managing, supervising at a strategic level (or aspiring to do so) in health and social care settings. The programme is designed to enable you to apply your learning to your own health and social care context.  Leadership and management skills and knowledge are valuable assets within health and social care environments. If you are looking to access better opportunities or want to enhance your performance in your current post, this course will help you to impress by recognising innovative ways to utilise management and leadership skills and knowledge.

This module can be studied as part of a programme or as a short course.

1st or 2nd class honours degree.  Students with other qualifications may be admitted to the course at the discretion of the programme leader. Contact the Enquiry Centre for further details. Additional Requirements – Applicants must be a health or social care professional. All applicants must complete a pre-entry study skills package such as “preparing for postgraduate study” if they are new to this level of study or have had a break from study for a period of 4 years.

Tuition fees are set annually and are subject to review each year. The University may therefore raise tuition fees in the second or subsequent years of a course, in line with inflation and/or the maximum permitted by law or government policy.
