Who is it for?
Participants will typically have some pre-existing project management knowledge and it is the ideal next step for anyone who holds the APM Project Fundamentals (PFQ) qualification.

Preparation and homework
There is a recommended 15 hours of pre-work required for this qualification which will be issued prior to the course start date.
Participants may be required to do evening work during the course.
Assessment format
Participants will complete a three hour exam on the final day of the course (if taken in a traditional classroom) or within two days of the course (if taken online). Participants will aim to answer 10 questions out of 16 during the allocated time. The pass mark for this assessment is 55%.

Conditions
If you have selected a course which is delivered online, please read the technical requirements before booking. If you are unable to undertake a booked course due to not having the required equipment, no refund will be offered.
Please note the specific terms applying to this course:
- Candidates are required to present a valid form of photographic ID prior to commencing the exam, such as a copy of their passport or driving licence.
Inclusions and exclusions
- Individual learning packs including presentations and exercise handouts will be issued to you, either electronically in the case of an online course, or in hard copy for in person courses.
- Upon successful completion of the course assessment, an Association for Project Management certificate will be sent to you electronically around 10 weeks after the course.
- Meals and refreshments are not included at in person courses. You will be able to bring your own lunch or buy food on or near the training premises.

If you have not conducted business with the University of Cumbria before, please be aware that both of us may have administrative procedures required to set up our respective customer/supplier accounts and the time taken to complete these may impact on the availability of places on your preferred course.
Payment, cancellation and changes
- Bookings, including purchase orders, to be received at least six weeks ahead of course start date.
- At our discretion, late bookings may be accepted: please check with us before sending a purchase order.
- Invoices will be issued six weeks before the course once delivery is confirmed (or immediately on receipt of an accepted late booking) and will be due for payment immediately. Full payment should be received by us prior to the course commencing.
- In the event that a booked delegate is unable to attend, substitutions will not be accepted and no refunds can be given.
- For all cancellations, UoC must be notified in writing via email to project.academy@cumbria.ac.uk.
- For online examinations, delegates choose an examination date and time from a range of options. If the chosen slot is changed or cancelled within 5 working days, the full examination fee is payable in respect of the cancelled slot AND in respect of the replacement slot.
