Events and Activities

This Term

The chaplains are really looking forward to welcoming new and returning students this year, and we hope you'll join us for some of the following events. Whether you already have a strong faith or are simply interested in thinking a bit more about life's journey,  finding ways to develop your character, feel more alive or explore your purpose, we're here to listen and encourage. This semester's series of Spirituality based meditations will look at the ways that art and nature can contribute to our wellbeing and feed our inner life, and will include reference to the insights of some of the Christian saints as well as recent research on health and wellbeing. Our Mindfulness sessions are great for stress and anxiety, and for a route in to knowing and understanding yourself better, and our lunchtime services will include time for prayer and thinking as well as reflection on biblical passages.

Do get in touch with us if you'd like an individual appointment,  have ideas to share,  are searching or curious! And do keep an eye on our Twitter account for prayers and short videos over the coming weeks. We look forward to meeting you and wish you a fulfilling and happy time here at the University of Cumbria.

All events for this term will be held online using Microsoft Teams which you have free access to as a registered university student.
