Outdoor Studies

  • Explore the Lakes

Our Ambleside campus offers an excellent base for exploring the beautiful lakes, mountains and fells of the Lake District - a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • Develop your skills

Improve your competency in outdoor activities while developing academic, critical-thinking and valuable life skills

  • Prepare for your career

With work experience and networking opportunities built in, you'll be fully prepared for a successful career in the outdoors.

There is no better place to study the outdoors than in the heart of the Lake District. Our Ambleside campus provides a unique learning environment and unrivalled academic experience.

100% of our graduates are in work or further study within six months of graduating (DLHE 2017).

Outdoor Studies can open many doors for you. Our graduates go on to work in the outdoor education field, in outdoor centres or youth organisations, outdoor adventure and tourism, conservation and environmental protection or progress to postgraduate study and research.
